Help YES Win a Grant at the 13th Annual East Boston Savings Bank 5K Bay Run/Walk!

Join YES for the 5K Bay Run/Walk with East Boston Savings Bank Foundation on Sunday, September 30 at Carson Beach and help YES win the 2018 Nonprofit Challenge! Through the Nonprofit Challenge, the non-profit with the most registrants in the race will win $1,000! The organization securing the second most participants will win a $750 grant.

Registration is now open – register by September 14 to receive a FREE long-sleeve dri-fit shirt. 

Course:

Overlooking Dorchester Bay and Carson Beach, this very scenic, flat, 5K begins at the DCR’s Day Blvd. and heads out toward Castle Island, before looping back to start/finish.

Ages:

Female and Male 18 & Under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

Awards:

$250 to top overall male & female runners, $50 to top male & female runners per age group. (One award per runner)

T-Shirts:

Runners and walkers who register by September 18th will receive a Dri-Fit long-sleeve shirt on race day!

 

 

Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival

YES will have an outreach table at Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival on Saturday, September 29.  Make sure to stop by and say hi!

The Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival is Boston’s biggest block party between Mass Ave and Burke Street —a free, annual outdoor concert open to the public that has delighted hundreds of thousands of music lovers over the years with its host of jazz, Latin, blues, funk, and groove performances, along with an array of food vendors and free activities for kids.

Stretching across six blocks in Boston’s historic South End, the festival offers world-class music on three stages, phenomenal food and drink, arts, crafts, and unique gifts. There will also be  facepainting, inflatables, cotton candy, KidsJam, an instrument petting zoo, and more.

Join YES as the Prudential Center Lights Up Blue and Orange for YES on December 22!

On Thursday, December 22, Youth Enrichment Services will “flip the switch” and light the Prudential Tower in honor of YES youth! Join us as we celebrate giving Boston youth access to outdoor and enrichment programs.

The event is FREE and open to the YES community. Guests are welcome to join us at 4:30 pm for hot chocolate, cookies, and a short ceremony at the Prudential Center’s Center Court. The lighting ceremony will take place at 5 pm. The event will wrap up at 5:30 pm.

YES Young Professionals Happy Hour

Join YES for the YES Young Professionals Happy Hour on Thursday, May 19 from 6:30 – 9:30 at Wild Rover in Fanueil Hall.

$20 tickets will include free appetizers and a live DJ. There will be a cash bar with $2 drafts. The event is 21+.
