Administrative Intern
Administrative interns will work in the YES office and support YES staff with daily operating tasks and online database maintenance.
The Administrative Intern’s responsibilities include:
- Work up to 40 hours each week (earning $15.00/hour for six weeks) in the YES office
- Train and work in the YES database software program
- Support YES staff in office tasks and projects
- Be an ambassador of YES by actively showing respect for self, others, and the environment
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development outings as required
- Other duties as assigned

Outdoor Adventure Leader
Outdoor Adventure Leaders provide a variety of support to YES’s Outdoor Adventure program, which offers youth the opportunity to get outside, have fun, and stay fit.
The Outdoor Adventure Leader’s primary responsibilities include:
- Work up to 40 hours each week (earning $15.00/hour for seven weeks)
- Learn and instruct youth on the basics of mountain biking, hiking, kayaking and rock climbing
- Collaborate with adult Activity Captains to plan, organize, and lead programs and outdoor experiences
- Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model to youth enrolled in YES programs
- Be an ambassador of YES by actively showing respect for self, others, and the environment (including adhering to, and educating others about, Leave No Trace outdoor ethics principles)
- Attend staff meetings, seminars, and trainings as required
- Manage the safety of participants and administer first aid if necessary
- Other duties as assigned

Track & Field Assistant Coach
Track & Field Assistant Coaches provide a variety of support to YES’s Track & Field program which introduces youth to track & field, instructs them on running, jumping, and throwing, and helps develop their physical stamina and strength. Coaching positions are available at English High School in Jamaica Plain or Moakley Park in South Boston.
The Track & Field Assistant Coach’s primary responsibilities include:
● Work on weekday evenings (exact timing to be determined), earning a stipend of $30/night payable bi–weekly
● Collaborate with Track and Field coaches and leaders to plan, organize, and lead activities
● Help with set-up and breakdown of equipment as well as administrative duties on-site
● Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model to youth enrolled in YES programs
● Be an ambassador of YES by actively showing respect for self, others, and the environment
● Attend staff meetings, supervision meetings, seminars, and trainings as required
● Adhere to Leave No Trace outdoor ethics principles and educate others
● Other duties as assigned
