From New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South: Take I-84 east to I-87 north. Take exit for Route 23 east**
From The New York Metro area: Take I-684 north to I-84 east. At Danbury, CT, pick up Rte. 7 north. Take Rte. 7 to Gt. Barrington, MA. Take exit for Route 23 east**
From Connecticut: If coming from the southwestern corner of the state, follow the preceding directions from the metropolitan New York Area. If coming from further east, take Rte. 8 north, then Rte. 44 west from Winsted. Rte. 44 crosses Rte 7 in Canaan. Proceed on Rte. 7 to Gt. Barrington, MA. Take exit for Route 23 east**
From Boston: Take I-90 west until exit 2 at Lee. Turn left on Rte. 102 and continue until you reach Stockbridge. Then take Rte. 7 south for 6 miles into Gt. Barrington. At the Rte. 23 light, make a left onto Rte. 23 east**
From Albany and points west: Take I-90 east to the Taconic Parkway south. Exit on Route 23 east**
** From Route 23: In Gt. Barrington, MA continue east on Rte. 23 passing Butternut Ski Area (on the right). From this point, continue 3.4 miles on Rte. 23. Look for a small sign for Beartown State Forest. Turn Left onto Blue Hill Road. Continue 0.6 miles on Blue Hill Road and take first right onto Brett Road. Follow Brett Road for 1.3 miles (it changes to a dirt road) up a hill into the woods to Swann Lodge.
