People come to YES in a variety of ways. Youth sign up to go on trips individually or through our partner agencies such as YMCA’s, Boys and Girls Clubs, churches, settlement houses, community centers, and local high schools. YES volunteers are community members who are passionate about giving back to their community and see YES as a great opportunity to work with Boston youth. YES offers unique opportunities for positive risk-taking and practical experiential learning help to lower the student attrition rate among urban youth, while providing strong mentorship relationships with adult and junior volunteers.
