What is a donation of money used for?

Donations are used to pay for buses and vans to get the youth to the snow slopes and campgrounds. YES also uses donations to fund the salary of a volunteer coordinator who supervises over 200 volunteers anually. See the volunteer section on how you can help as coaches, leaders, and instructors.

Can I make a donation through the United Way?

YES is an United Way eligible organization, so if your company participates in the United Way Annual Appeal you can write in 'youth enrichment services' (our United Way number is 713788).

How do I make a donation directly?

Donations may be made on-line through Network for Good , or you can make your check made payable to "youth enrichment services" and mail it to:

YES is a 501(c)3 educational institution and is registered with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office of Public Charities, and as such all contributions are tax deductible.

Fundraising Events...

You can also show your support by coming to our fundraisers such as the Brad Wheeler Golf Tournament in September or the Massachusetts Snow Challenge in January. We also hold other fundraising events periodically as well. Please check the YES calendar regularly to see what we haves scheduled for upcoming events.

Other Donations...

Sporting Equipment -YES needs skis**, boots (especially large sizes), poles, snowboards**, and cross-country equipment (especially small sizes) for its Winter Programs. We also need bikes, helmets, and canoes for our Summer Programs. Plus, we need the tools and accessories to keep all of our equipment working properly. Buying new equipment? Why not consider donating your old equipment to YES?! Just as with financial contributions, your donation is tax deductible.

**please note** For insurance reasons, YES is unable to accept ski or snowboard equipment that is more than 4 years old. Please call us if you have any questions about the age or condition of the equipment you intend to donate.

Office Equipment -YES is growing, and we need to upgrade our computer network in order to accommodate our increased administrative workload. Your computer may be obsolete as far as your company's needs are concerned, but if its a Pentium III system (equivalent or better) and network ready, it could do a world of good at YES. You may even be able to earn your company a tax deduction for the donation!

Miscellaneous Gifts -YES raises money through raffles and silent auctions at our various fundraisers throughout the year. Gifts of goods or services are gladly accepted. Gift Certificates are particularly welcome as they minimize the need for storage space. As always, your donation is tax deductible.
